Mr Robert Hicks Consultant Surgeon
Mr Rob Hicks currently practices at Northampton General Hospital and The BMI Three Shires Hospital. His surgical interests are in vascular surgery general surgery and day surgery.
Educated in South Wales, he graduated as a doctor from St. Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, London in 1989. He entered into surgical training in 1991 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993.
His training in vascular surgery was at Charing Cross Hospital. He was awarded the degree of Master of Surgery from the University of London for research into factors influencing the long term patency of arterial bypass grafts.
He finished his surgical training with a one year specialist fellowship at the Flinders Medical Centre/Repatriation Hospital in Adelaide.
Personal Profile
Mr Hicks is married to Jo and together they have three young children. He enjoys running (slowly), windsurfing and golf, and can be seen regularly in the Church’s Stand supporting the Saints.
